Only if a student has provided the f1 visa details to the university, we will be able to register for classes?

What if we haven't got visa date yet but we want to register for some classes just so that it doesn't get filled and we will miss on it? Is it possible?

Generally, you have to be present on the campus for the orientation after which you can register for classes. When you are present on the campus, you already have your visa.

Since they started providing visa appointments after August 20th (which was just 10 days before the class start date), NJIT allowed everyone to register for classes if they had confirmed visa appointments.
