Review: Prof. Quentin Jones
IS375 - Discovering User Needs for UX
Summary:
Prof. Jones is known for his inconsiderate nature. He expects students to concentrate on his classes alone and devote all their time to his subject. His classes are tough to follow and he does not explain himself twice.Some points to consider:
- He is known for missing every grading deadline
- Even if students submit their assignments on time, he barely acknowledges them or provides any feedback
- Students are divided into groups and have to work on team projects throughout the semester. He keeps interrupting the team during the actual presentation and fails to deliver constructive criticism
- He is more focused on his startup idea and tends to make students work on projects which would benefit it
His assignments are graded long after the grading deadline and students do not receive any feedback on them. His TA grades students and does most of his work. Also, students have reported being graded unfairly.
