Review: Prof. John Ryon
CS115 - Introduction to Computer Science
Summary:
Students barely show up to Prof. John's classes as he mostly reads out from the book. You can memorize the book and learn something new, but you won't learn much from his lectures.Things to remember:
- He doesn't take attendance and so there is no point in attending his classes
- Homework was assigned for the first 1-2 weeks but after that, he didn't assign any work
- Students didn't get any motivation to study and his lectures are very boring
- Projects assigned by him have no relation to the material that comes in the exams
He is quite prone to making mistakes in grading. Well if he does so, he is mostly pointed out by his students. But still, he takes weeks to make a change to the grade and is mostly unclear about his own grading scheme.
